Getting Big Media Access via Social Media

During this presentation, I provide an overview of social media promotion and optimization (SMO) and discuss best practices developed from a decade-long career building online communities, while developing the careers of well-known bloggers, podcasters, community builders and social networkers. Specifically, I will provide case studies showing how businesses and organizations can utilize social networks and social media outlets to establish and grow brands online, build an audience of potential clients and ring the register by creating a channel of communication to traditional media via twitter, facebook, youtube, and flickr. The end result has been coverage in hundreds of traditional media outlets including web properties, broadcast television, radio and print in less than three years of using social media channels to reach big media.
